Seeing the Unseen – God’s Presence in My Daily Life

We can easily drift into the habit of overlooking God’s presence in our everyday lives. As distractions grow and self-reliance increases, we begin taking for granted His love, care, guidance, and faithful provision. When we fail to recognize God’s hand at work, our gratitude fades, and our hunger for a deeper relationship with Him can grow weak.

I Spy Journals help individuals and families intentionally look for evidence of God’s presence each day. Whether used for family devotions, personal reflection, or classroom journals that are passed from one grade to the next, these journals encourage the daily practice of noticing and celebrating God’s work.

Each day, you record something you “spied” that reveals God’s activity in your life—an answered prayer, an unexpected blessing, perfect timing, an act of grace or mercy, or another glimpse of His character. As you develop the habit of recognizing God’s faithfulness, His presence becomes more real, your relationship with Him grows deeper, and your heart is filled with greater joy, gratitude, and confidence in His love.

Thought-provoking prompts guide you to describe the event, identify what God did (thanksgiving), recognize the attributes of God that were displayed (adoration), reflect on what the Holy Spirit is teaching you, and respond creatively through drawing or diagrams. Optional sticky symbols provide another engaging way to record and celebrate God’s daily work.
